Older than 2500 years, the traditional Thai massage, called “Nouat Boran” in Thai, is related to Shiatsu, taoist massage, Indien Ayurvedic massage and Yoga.
And yet, its philosophy makes it its own kind. It has the peculiarity of being able to connect the one who receives or the one that gives it.
The Thai massage was created within the philosophy of Buddhism and actually it’s roots is originally from India where it’s founding father was, Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha.
Transmitted from monk to student, it was the King Rama III in 1830, who permanently got Nuad Boran out of the dark and created the Wat Po School.
